Find GOD Word Search is a free almost-impossible word search web browser game. Each randomly-generated board hides the word GOD the same number of times as the level number. Every word must be found in order to advance the level, and the high score counts the total number of words found. Level 1 starts difficult, and the challenge ramps up from there.
How to Play
- Scan the board for GOD in any of eight directions.
- Click the start and end tiles or drag across them to select a word. On touch devices, swipe over the tiles.
- All instances in a level must be found for the level to advance.
- The board gets larger. There is no final level.

How do I start over at level 1?
Click "New Game" and confirm. Your progress resets, but your high score stays saved.
How does scoring work?
Each word you find adds 1 point. Your high score is tracked across all sessions.
Is there a time limit?
No. Play at your own pace — there is no timer.

Erase the cookie for this website in your browser's privacy settings.
How do I avoid losing my progress in the game?
Your level and score are saved after every find. But progress within a level — how many words you've found so far — is not saved. If you close mid-level, you will return to the same level with your score intact, but you will start the board over with a new random layout.
Will there be a leaderboard?
Not any time soon. It would require logins for all players and a central database of scores. Instead, you can use social media to share a screenshot or video of your game as proof of your accomplishment.
Why can't I sync my level and high score across multiple devices?
This would also require logins and a central database.
Are the paperback books just like this?
Not quite. The books are actually harder to play, since there is exactly one instance of the word GOD in each puzzle, and the grid grows very large by the end of each book.
Does the game work offline?
Once the page has loaded, yes. The game runs entirely in your browser with no server communication.
